From October 21 to 23, the 2nd Symposium on Metal Coating Technology Innovation & Surface Treatment Development was held in Xuzhou,. The event was hosted by the Metallurgical Branch, China Association of Plant Engineering (CAPE), and co-organized by Xuzhou RITMAN Equipment Co., Ltd. (RITMAN).
More than 200 experts, scholars and technical specialists from iron and steel manufacturers, coating enterprises, design institutes and universities across China attended the event. Participants conducted in-depth discussions on hot-dip continuous galvanizing, Zn-Al-Mg and Al-Zn-Si new product development, energy conservation & carbon reduction, waste treatment, intelligent manufacturing and other industry hot topics. They jointly explored practical pathways for green upgrading and high-quality development of the metal coating sector.

During the technical session, RITMAN presented a technical report: Simulation Analysis and Process Improvement of Strip Cooling on Continuous Galvanizing Lines.
Targeting practical bottlenecks in the strip cooling stage of continuous galvanizing lines, the report introduced systematic process optimization solutions based on multi-dimensional simulation technology. It demonstrates RITMAN’s capacity in developing complete high-end line systems for continuous galvanizing, Zn-Al-Mg and Al-Zn-Si coated strip. The company adheres to independent R&D and builds an industry-leading complete technology system.The report provides valuable practical references for process iteration of similar production lines and received positive feedback from attending experts.
Site Visit to Demonstration Digital Factory: Review Low-carbon Implementation Cases
On the second day of the symposium, delegates visited the Jiangsu BAOHWA Metal Material project built by RITMAN.
This demonstration digital factory has an annual output value of 5 billion RMB. It houses one 1300mm continuous Zn-Al-Mg coated strip line with an annual capacity of 450,000 tons, and one 1450mm pickling line with an annual capacity of 1 million tons. Powered by RITMAN Equipment’s proprietary micro-tension control and other core technologies, the lines guarantee stable strip shape and consistent coating thickness at high running speeds. Adhering to the principles of high-end positioning, intelligence, green production and low-carbon operation, the project serves as a fine example of intelligent manufacturing implementation within the metal coating industry and was highly recognized by visitors.
